Folklore Company of Varnavas
The Folklore Company of Varnava - Municipality of Marathon was founded in 2002 in Varnava region of Attika, Greece. In 2003 it launched the Interactive Agricultural History and Folklore Museum and in 2005 it established the Bread Museum (3000 exhibits and embroidered traditional breads from all over Greek territory and forty foreign countries)..The Company actively participates in the preservation of cultural heritage of our country and to the promotion of the tourism potential of the territory by exploring its cultural, agricultural, folklore, industrial etc history and current reality. It organises ongoing events and lectures on folklore issues, cultural heritage, promotion of young farmers, volunteering, environmental, nutrition and health, quality of life and it supports young artists.
For twelve years it carries out educational programs for school students and adults with the collaboration of teachers, historians, cooperatives, farmers, businessmen, music teachers, philologists, beekeepers, bakers, environmentalists, astrophysicists etc and in general with people with enthusiasm, responsibility, experience and scientific training.
